When Norm’s grandmother loses everything that connects her to the past, Norm sets out on a journey to save her memories. In a magical world where memories come alive, he learns that nothing is lost as long as we remember.

Norm is an eleven-year-old boy who loves his ideas, experiments, and the little disasters that come with them. When his grandmother finds herself in a new place – without her things, and therefore without her memories – Norm doesn’t think much of it. Until he discovers that those objects aren’t ordinary. Each one holds a living memory that fades away every time it’s forgotten. Norm sets out on an unexpected journey full of imagination and danger to save these living memories – and with them, what truly matters in life. Together with the gnomes, he overcomes fear, confusion, and selfishness, and learns that memories are not just the past, but what keeps us together.
