It’s the day before Christmas and despite all warnings not to anger the spirits of Midwinter, defiant 12 year-old Astrid acts up. She has an argument with her mother, blaming her for the precarious financial situation their family is in and wishing she had never been born. Later that night, Santa’s scary helper Krampus abducts the girl and throws her into a mysterious dungeon inside his magical bag. The dungeon is ruled by the masked Keeper, who tasks Astrid to bring him three magical items in order to win back her freedom. Astrid has no choice but to take on this dangerous quest.
