A HUNDRED DAYS AT HOME is a thrilling and light-hearted series tackling an important and timely issue—mental health challenges among children. The story follows Nike, 11, who is unable to attend school due to hypersensitivity and social anxiety. Nike’s mother is overwhelmed with worry. Psychologists and teachers are involved—but nothing helps. The longer Nike stays at home, the harder it becomes to return to school. This is the backdrop to Nike’s story, but at the forefront is the detective mystery she solves with her best friend Mia: the arson at the school’s swimming hall! Nike and Mia collect evidence, interrogate suspects, spy, and embark on adventures that test their friendship as they solve the mystery together. Meanwhile, Nike confronts uncomfortable truths about her own family and her preconceived notions about people at school—and perhaps about people in general. By the end, Nike is stronger, has deeper friendships and a renewed desire to return to school.
