Every summer, Kito (4) and Maja (6) visit their grandmother Dora (70) in her old house in rural Radibor. This year, however, is different: Grandma Dora is recovering from a broken leg and can’t play with the children like usual. She needs plenty of rest, and for Kito and Maja—who arrived full of excitement—this summer threatens to be boring and bleak. While exploring the house, the children discover a mysterious wooden box filled with glowing dream orbs. Each orb reveals a Sorbian legend, transporting the siblings into Lusatian folklore. Kito and Maja become key characters in the myths, bringing mythical creatures to life with their voices. Grandma Dora, as the storyteller, plays an important role in their journey. Through these stories, the children learn about friendship, courage, and generosity. The orbs also help Dora reconnect with her childhood memories of these tales, speeding up her recovery. By the end of the summer, the three share an unforgettable bond.
