POWER TO FANTASY, because it is the power that resides in the imagination to make bearable any horror and impatience that life forces us to face. A moving and dramatic, poetic and visionary story of a blind Roma girl and her father victims of Nazism.
The story is set around 1943-44 in the lands on the border between Germany and the Czech Republic. Hope, the protagonist, is a blind roma girl together with her father, Grigo, they tell about their family until they arrive in the concentration camps. Since the child is blind, she will be able to transform the dramatic reality she is experiencing, and of which she is not fully aware, into visionary worlds and dreamlike situations, creating a true fairy tale. She is accompanied on this journey by her father (the co-protagonist), a musician with an accordion, the only object he has left after selling everything, which he did not want to dispose of. It is a tribute to the power of art and the ability of the human spirit to create beauty and lightness even in difficult times.
