As Nelli’s powers weaken her body, their connection grows—quiet and unspoken. In a world caught between Catholic and native rituals, the two navigate a forbidden bond. When Nelli disappears, Tico embraces Catholicism outwardly but secretly honors her memory by reviving the Day of the Dead, turning grief into silent resistance.
