SUPER GRANOLA
When four extraordinary grandmothers discover a magical recipe that transforms them into unlikely superheroes, they decide to stand up to those who wrong them, proving that experience and courage know no age.
Elisso, Persa and Alcyone, former eccentric and dynamic schoolfriends, are now eccentric and dynamic grandmothers living in the heart of Athens, where they suffer the insults of their neighbors who do not respect older people (or anybody else). Their lonely lives change dramatically when a mystical cereal recipe, the “Super Granola”, gives them superpowers: Elisso becomes invisible, Persa can climb walls, and Alcyone talks with animals. They set out to right wrongs, targeting everyone from litterbugs and rude motorists to a snobbish socialite who mistreats her housekeeper. They even help a young Syrian refugee and her underfunded school for immigrants. But they are opposed by an authoritarian retired police officer who is orchestrating a dangerous far-right gang responsible for horrible injustices in the locality. As their mission grows into something much bigger, the Super Granola grandmothers are faced with a deeper dilemma: When you hold such power, do you truly know how to use it?
