A stubborn girl, a cute donkey and a great adventure – Flora has to go to France with the giant donkey foal Jukli. All on her own. But she’s only 11 years old and doesn’t even like donkeys. JUKLI – a road movie with a donkey for girls and boys aged 6 years and over.

FLORA is eleven years old and lives with her mum and two older brothers in a run-down tower block on the outskirts of the city. Flora spends less time at school than outside, and not because she enjoys being in nature so much. Flora is bullied and reacts either with boxing or running away or both. This may be because Flora is a bit chubby, or because Flora doesn‘t like being touched at all. When Flora meets an old woman and her two donkeys during one of her escape missions, she has no idea that her life will change abruptly from that day on: With a stubborn donkey foal in tow, Flora learns a lot about family ties, Roma culture, donkeys and, surprisingly, about herself on a journey from Germany to France.
