Hello, Oscar!
Oscar is an ordinary boy with an extraordinary wooden phone. He can talk to inanimate things on it!
Oscar (7) must spend the summer at his Granny’s house in the country. Unfortunately, the boy from the beginning finds his grandmother and her home old fashioned and boring. Soon he finds out that he has left his mobile phone at home. Overwhelmed by boredom, Oscar makes himself a Toy Phone out of a log he has found in the shed. Much to his surprise, Oscar discovers that on this phone he can call any of the objects he can find in Granny’s house and garden. In a short time he starts to offer his help to object in various important ‘matters of life’: show a chair ‘the world’, become a ‘dentist’ that fixes a rake’s tooth and introduce the broom to its close relative, the toothbrush. The miraculous wooden device makes the boy’s monotonous days much more exciting and meaningful. Besides, thanks to the phone, Oscar meets a Girl Balloon stuck at the top of a birch tree. But most importantly, through this world of things, Oscar gets to know his Granny and now is ready to become friends with her.
