This is a story about two worlds, the world of the forest and the world of people, and about the kids in whom these two worlds intertwine.
One day, in the middle of summer, a city boy Howl wanders alone through the forest. Along the way, he begins to see strange things. He even thinks he understands the song of a blackbird… The forest is vast and scary, and deep in its heart, it hides a secret place. There, animals can speak and behave like humans. Goldy lives there with her feral family. She is a wild girl always accompanied by her brother – The White deer. She is a deer too! One day she will meet Howl, and discover that there are some similarities between their species…
