Young Horizons Industry 2024 winners announced

On 1 October, in a totally new setup, Zofia Horszczaruk, Head of Young Horizons Industry, and Maciej Jakubczyk, Head of Young Horizons, together with our partners: Magdalena Zimecka, Managing Director of ORKA Postproduction Studio, Magda Janowska, Postproduction Manager at FIXAFILM, Anna Szadkowska, Production Manager at Wroclaw Feature Film Studio, Adam Romanowski, CEO of No Problemo Music, Lennart Ström, Managing Director of m:brane, and Anna Głowik, representing CEE Animation Forum, handed over the awards for the best projects presented in the in-development and work-in-progress section.

For the second time, the audience award was granted to the project which got the higher number of votes. Thanks to Votemo for cooperating with us and taking care of the voting system.

Winners of the Young Horizons Industry 2024:

1st ORKA Award

“Sneakermania”, Helsinki-filmi, Finland, live-action series, presented by Mia Ylönen and Ima Iduozee

–> €7.000 for the in-kind award for a post-production and VFX services at ORKA

2nd ORKA Award

“Lampie”, Leitwolf Filmproduktion, Germany, live-action/animated film presented by Julia Keller

–> €3.500 for a supporting service of ORKA in fundraising for co-production of a project  with Poland

FIXAFILM Award

“Mega Pals”, 20 Pictures to Midnight, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Germany, live-action with CGI series, presented by Weronika Kasprzak and François Lefebvre

–> €7.000 for the in-kind award for a post-production and VFX services at FIXAFILM

Wroclaw Feature Film Studio Award

“The Adventures of Baltazar Gąbka”, TV Working, Poland, Live-action film presented by Weronika Bałdyga and Marta Karwowska

–> €10.000 for the in-kind award

Animond Award

“Rainy Days”, Animadre Studio, Austria, animated series, presented by Ani Antonova

–> joining the Animond portfolio – opportunity to secure the gap financing through the Animond platform

No Problemo Music Award

“Ghetto Classic”, Dynamo Film, Poland, Spain, documentary film, presented by Katia Priwieziencew and Jakub Czerwiński

–> a free music license for songs from the Audio Network’s library for their production and its promotional materials without restrictions on time, territory or fields of use

CEE Animation Forum Award

“Ursa the Polar Bear”, Upnorth Film, Norway, animated series, presented by Maria Motovska and Natalia Bratli

–> the project and team will have direct access to the Market at the CEE Animation Forum

m:brane Exchange Award

“Welcome to Vegetown”, TOKU, France, stop motion animated series, presented by Laure Clemansaud and Xavier Truchon

–> direct access to official selection during m:brane in Sweden

Audience Award

“Rainy Days”, Animadre Studio, Austria, animated series, presented by Ani Antonova

–> a free Young Horizons Industry accreditation for the Pitching Team members
