“The Unreal World of Alda” is an animated series from Faroe Islands, produced by Jón Hammer from KYK / kykmyndir and created by Tóki Jansson and Niels Jacob from BBB Movies.
“The Unreal World of Alda” centers on the everyday problems of a 6 years old girl, Alda. Alda does not like to eat her veggies, she refuses to use the common bath at the swimming pool and hates to clean her room. Fortunately, Alda has an imaginary best playmate, Ludde. As problems arise, Ludde and Alda go on imaginary journeys to faraway fantasylands, where they meet similar problems that needs solving. As Alda returns to reality, she is able to accept her problems and solve her differences.
Our motivation
We decided to award this project because we love the quirkiness and edgy animation style as well as the humorous imaginative ways in which the main characters tackle its challenges. A project with potential for co-production.
