Sideways Studios was founded by filmmakers Samir Arabzadeh and Fredrik Svensson in 2019, with a production company in Gothenburg, Sweden and a studio in Cebu, the Philippines. Sideways develops, funds and produces works across all genres and formats. The company’s first finished production is the live action feature film “TILT”, which is currently in late post-production and set to premiere in 2026. In October 2025 Sideways will enter production on the short animation Snot Shine, supported by the Swedish Film Institut and Film i Väst. Sideways is also in pre-production with the full length documentary Till Death Do Us Part, which is being produced together with MDEMC and Elisabeth Cronvall. Additionally, Sideways is developing a number of projects, including the 3D-animated feature film Valentino, the 2D adult series Lyka and the Goat Ghost and the fiction thriller You Must Bleed.

Luftkind Filmverleih is an independent production and distribution company based in Hamburg dedicated to children, animation and cinema. Since its creation in 2020, the company has a strong focus and expertise on short film programs to accompany the youngest audience and their families at their first cinema visit. The Luftkind team strives to select films that young and old can enjoy together, with the belief that what is good for children can also be fun for adults, even if they don't always laugh at the same things. The company is clearly positioned on the German and international market as a key partner for animation with a different and daring aesthetic.

Shelly Gertan is the founder of Erlance Studios, an award-winning, Vienna-based animation studio with a focus on original IPs aimed at teenage audiences. She is best known for „Reyn: Angel of Freedom,“ a webcomic and upcoming animated feature film series supported by the Austrian Film Institute. Her detailed animated music videos and short films have garnered millions of views online and won international awards. Shelly returned to Vienna after 4 years in the US, bringing her expertise back with her to her home country, where she now works on building a stronger and more inclusive industry. When she's not working on "Reyn," she is traveling to international conventions and conferences in order to share her experiences in animation with other aspiring artists.
