YOUNG HORIZONS INDUSTRY 2026 – SUBMISSION RULES – PROJECT POOL

Requirements and submission

To submit the project, please log in or create an account on the Young Horizons Industry online platform and choose the Project Pool submission form.

  • Deadline for submissions: 21 July 2026.
  • Each company or individual person can submit max. 1 project.
  • Projects from all around the world can be submitted.

Applicant must hold the rights to the project including:

  • the right to present the project and any of its part to the public,
  • the right to publish information about the project and any of its part in any form.

Project Pool – general conditions

Project Pool is a non-pitching networking format designed for selected projects (script / in development / work-in-progress) looking for partners and co-production opportunities or feedback. Participants meet industry guests in a series of pre-scheduled one-to-one table meetings, where they can present their projects in a more targeted way.

Projects for this section can be submitted by screenwriters, production companies, game companies.

Around 15 projects at different stages of development and production will be selected for the Project Pool. Each project has its own table for one-to-one meetings. Participants selected for Project Pool can invite experts to their table and schedule meetings with potential partners.

The projects shortlisted for the Project Pool have visibility on the Young Horizons Industry website, event platform, and in the catalogue. As an additional promotion, participants of qualified projects can record a 1-minute elevator pitch / presentations / teaser, which will be available to watch by the YHI guests on the event platform and promoted among the experts attending the forum.

Note: The projects qualified for the Project Pool will not be presented on stage during the pitching day.

Materials for submission

Fully completed online Project Pool form which includes information such as:

  • Project title
  • Country of production / co-production countries
  • Bio and filmography of the applicant
  • Logline
  • Synopsis (max. 1000 characters with spaces)
  • Metrics: category (film/series, type (live-action/animation/documentary/transmedia), genre, target audience (preschool, children 7–9, children 10–12, teens 13-15, youth 16+
  • Production company and company profile, co-production company, if applicable (if you are applying as screenwriter, you don’t need to have a production company behind you)
  • Project photo – it can be a mood photo which we can use for the promotion
  • Short film material/teaser/mood video, animatic (optional)
  • Pitch Deck (it should include information about your visual concept, a brief overview of your budget, your target audience and distribution strategy, information about the creators)
  • What are you seeking for your project during your One-to-One sessions at Young Horizons Industry? (distributor, VOD platform, co-producer, sales agent, etc.)

Selection process

Projects from this section will be selected by the Young Horizons Industry team. The decision taken by the Young Horizons Industry team is final. The Young Horizons Industry team will take into consideration, among other aspects:

  • the creativity of the project and its innovative approach,
  • the original topic or format,
  • the co-production and international potential,
  • the potential of the execution of the project.

For accepted projects

1. Accreditation fee

The accreditation fee for Project Pool costs PLN 425 / PLN 522,75 incl. VAT (approx. EUR 100 / EUR 123,00 incl. VAT) for one person.

The accreditation doesn’t cover accommodation and travel expenses.

Each accompanying person who wants to take part in the event must buy a separate accreditation.

2. Selection announcement and completing the accreditation form

When selected, the applicant will be notified by email or by phone if contact by email will not be effective.

The applicant will have 1 (one) week to confirm the participation by filling in the participation form and paying the accreditation fee.

A correctly completed participation form (accreditation) is necessary to set up an account on the platform.

3. Withdrawal of the projects

Once the applicant confirms the participation of the project, the withdrawal is not possible, unless there are some serious circumstances, which are independent of the applicant. In that case the withdrawal has to be discussed with organizers. The accreditation fee will not be returned.

GDPR consent statement

INFORMATION ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

  1. The Controller of your personal data is Stowarzyszenie Nowe Horyzonty (New Horizons Association) with its registered office in Warsaw at ul. Ludwika Zamenhofa 1, 00-153 Warsaw, Poland (hereinafter “SNH”).
  2. SNH will process your personal data indicated in the above form:
    2.1. under Article 6.1.(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), i.e. based on your consent given by completing and submitting the above form in order to carry out the selection of projects for the Young Horizons Industry 2026 (hereinafter the “Forum”);
    2.2. under Article 6.1. (f) of the GDPR i.e. based on SNH’s legitimate interest in establishing, investigating, or defending against claims that may arise from the project selection process.
  3. Your data contained in the above form will be processed by SNH for the period necessary for the process selection process unless you withdraw your consent to SNH processing your personal data beforehand. By withdrawing your consent to the processing of your personal data, you will be deemed to have opted out of the project selection process.
  4. In the event of circumstances giving rise to a claim by SNH against you or your claims against SNH, SNH will be entitled to process your personal data until the relevant legal proceedings have become final or the statute of limitations for claims under the relevant legislation has expired.
  5. SNH may pass on your personal data for further processing or share your personal data with the co-organisers of the Forum and with entities cooperating with SNH, such as IT solution providers.
  6. You have the right to ask SNH for access to your personal data, for its rectification, deletion, or limitation of processing as well as its portability.
  7. In the case referred to in paragraph 2.1. above, you can withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time by contacting SNH through any communication method. Remember that your withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out based on the consent before its withdrawal.
  8. In the case referred to in paragraph 2.2. above, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by SNH.
  9. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, i.e. to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, in connection with the processing of your personal data by SNH.
  10. The submission of personal data is voluntary. However, if personal data is not provided, it will not be possible to participate in the selection of projects for the Forum.
