The Babirusa

When his best friend Samuel falls ill, 10-year-old Jules embarks on a quest to find the Giant Babirusa, a strange magical pig-dirty, irreverent, and joyful-whom some believe has healing powers. But sometimes, the magic isn’t so much in the legend as in the adventure one lives while chasing after it!
The legend says that behind his wild hair and thunderous farts, he is a genius with the power to heal people. The story goes that to find him, you must search deep in your heart for the desire to laugh, to be mischievous, and to roll in the mud. The story says that to find him, you have to rediscover your inner child. And shout, sing, and laugh so loudly that even the stars hear you. Then they will shine with all their light to attract him to the top of the mountain. It will take him a long time to come because he is very, very heavy and very, veeeery old. When he reaches the summit, he will join the song, sing with the stars, and bellow so loudly that his horns will pierce his forehead! They will open the door to his magic, which will spread throughout the universe, giving the strength to laugh and play to all who need it.

Mélanie Duval
Deprived of television at the age of eight, Mélanie Duval got her sweet revenge by working in nearly every job you could possibly imagine in an animated cartoon: from compositing laser beams in ‘Totally Spies,’ to animating Evil Tentacles in the movie ‘Fear(s) of the Dark,’ or adorable little ‘Trotro,’ to storyboarding Underwear-Eating Shark Men in ‘Captain Biceps...’ before crossing over to the Dark Side-of-the-Blank-Page to become a screenwriter!
After lovingly crafting all kinds of wild adventures for animated creatures of every shape and species — from the ‘Raving Rabbids to Rosie,’ and not forgetting ‘Molusco the Oyster Boy’ — and co-writing five (yes, five!) seasons of ‘Miraculous Ladybug,’ she eventually packed her little backpack to go explore new, uncharted paths… like, right now, the jungles of Sulawesi!
