School of Thieves
1893. When Pierrot’s (10) friend has to start working in a factory, the boy wants to fight against child labor. He enrolls in the “School of Thieves” where he learns how to steal from the rich and give to the poor.
Flanders, 1893. Is Pierrot (10) ready to follow in the footsteps of his father, master thief Marius? His mother, Colette, takes him on his first test to become a thief, but it goes disastrously wrong. Pierrot actually has no desire to become a thief at all. However, when his friend Noor (10) is forced to work in a factory, Pierrot wants to fight against this injus-tice. And when his mother is violently arrested during a protest against child labor by Chief of Police Commerman, Pierrot is left on his own. Gentleman thief Jan, a friend of his father, takes him under his wings at his “School of Thieves”. Here, in an abandoned factory, headmistress Lisse (16) introduces Pierrot to his teachers and classmates, includ-ing circus performer Ondine (10). With her help and great dedication, he learns to pickpocket, escape, climb walls, and crack locks. Pierrot soon discovers that he has inherited his father’s skills: he’s excellent at planning heists…

Katleen Goossens
Katleen Goossens started her career in 1998 as a financial consultant in the entertainment industry. She gained experience in a wide variety of countries working for low-budget private funded features but also for blockbusters. In 2008, she came back to Belgium to found her own production company. Without limiting herself, Katleen has a weak spot for kids content, LGBT stories and female driven projects. She is an active member of the VOFTP and a mentor for emerging female producers at EWA.
Daniel Lambo
Daniel Lambo started his career as a writer for theatre, TV and cinema. After directing several award winning short films he made his first feature film, 'Miss Homeless' (2010), a satirical docu-fiction about poverty. As a director he has a focus on social themes: 'Dry Branches of Iran' (2012) tackled the human rights situation in Iran, 'Traumland' (2013) reflected on ethnic diversity, 'Booster' (2014) had adolescent issues as a central theme and 'De Figurant' (2016) is a black comedy that takes on racial stereotypes. Documentary 'Breathless' (2018) chronicles the environmental impact of the asbestos industry, winning an Ensor for Best Belgian Documentary (2019). Currently, Daniel is working on two feature films and a new documentary while remaining active as a freelance director and screenwriter. He worked on the praised TV series 'Duts' (2010), directed the VTM telefilm 'Los Flamencos' (2013) and co-wrote the TV series 'The kidnapping of Phil Frisco' (2021).
