Rise of the Water Fox

Agnes (12) is struggling with turbulent emotions after her grandfather’s death. Sent to volunteer at a community home, her journey unfolds as she searches for inner balance and acceptance.
Agnes (12) is struggling with her emotions after the death of her grandfather Pompilio. Her grief erupts into anger, and after getting into a fistfight with a classmate, her parents send her to volunteer at a local community home for the elderly. There, Agnes meets Harriet (72) — a rebellious new resident with tattoos and a fiery spirit, who dreams of escaping to Iceland. Agnes promises to help Harriet with her plan, and in return Harriet teaches her to manage her anxiety through improvised martial arts training. What begins as a game grows into a bond that helps Agnes face her grief. But Harriet is hiding the truth: she is terminally ill, and her trip to Iceland is meant to be a one-way journey to Valhalla. As Agnes confronts the possibility of losing someone close to her once again, she must draw on everything she has learned about courage, balance, and acceptance to find her own way forward.
