Rabbit Girls

7-year-old Mila, who has a complex about her buck teeth, tries to earn money for a magical gadget-a dental overlay offered by an orthodontist like the Cruella De Vil– because she believes that having nice smile will win her the friendship of Olga, a girl who is just moving into the house next door.

Dad adopts a Belgian Giant rabbit for Mila. Olga, their new neighbour, has the same breed of rabbit. Mila sees this as a lucky twist of fate and an opportunity for friendship. Mila watches a viral advertisement for a miracle dental overlay (a fictional gadget) by Cruella De Vil, an orthodontist who, like an evil queen, beguiles and casts a spell on the girl through her laptop screen, so that Mila is unable to think about anything else. Mila tries to earn money for the overlay by doing cleaning work in her neighbours’ gardens. At the same time, she realises that she is not the only one who is strange because of her teeth; her neighbours also have their little quirks, even Olga, who sleeps with her eyes open, just like rabbits! And that’s beautiful! The girls become friends and find similarities between the characteristics of rabbits and their own, proudly calling themselves Rabbit Girls!
