Jaga

An animated musical about a spirited 21st-century Slavic witch who must find her true voice, make friends, and survive the trials of teenage angst, all while rescuing her parents and, you know, casually saving the world.

“Yaga and the House on Eagle Legs” is an adventure film that combines magic, Slavic mythology and contemporary Krakow. The main protagonist is a 13-year-old witch, the daughter of a healer and a breeder of huts on chicken legs. Yaga wants to break free from her parents’ overprotectiveness and find her own path. Due to her recklessness, Yaga’s village is attacked and her parents, as well as the precious eggs of huts on chicken legs, are kidnapped. Yaga and her best friend, a young hut on chicken legs, will have to travel to Krakow, to seek help from her idol, the sorcerer Twardowski.
