Twelve-year-old Maks, a talented footballer from a small semi-amateur team, gets a chance to join a renowned club. Chasing dreams of success and a better life for his mother, he enters a world of pressure, ruthless competition and adult ambition.

Gradually, the joy of playing fades, and an injury forces him to stop and reflect. Maks must confront a difficult question: does he want to win at any cost? To his surprise, he discovers that even his greatest rival is struggling with the same choice.

Agata Loth-Ignaciuk is an author and publisher of children’s books. In 2016, she founded Druganoga Publishing House, focused on beautifully designed books about culture, history and contemporary issues. She is the author of several non-fiction and fiction titles, including "How to Reach the Earth’s Poles in One Year" (il. Bartłomiej Ignaciuk), awarded a Bologna Ragazzi Special Mention and nominated for the Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis. Agata’s books have been published in several countries.

Bartłomiej Ignaciuk is an illustrator, film and television director, and screenwriter.
After working as an art director in advertising, he has been active since 2004 as a director of music videos, TV series, feature films, and commercials. He is a member of the Polish Film Academy. He has directed TV series such as "Usta Usta," "Wielka Woda" (director of episodes 2, 4, 6), and "Pati," as well as the feature films "Podatek od miłości" and "Wielka Warszawska." As a screenwriter, he has worked on "Chomik," "Belfer," and "Pati."
