Bio

Tim Biedert is a freelance producer, based in Berlin. After studying social pedagogy and working as a producer at a TV production company, he worked for Paramount from 2008 to 2024. He developed and produced numerous productions for Paramount's children's TV channel Nickelodeon as well as for the streaming service Paramount+. Tim has a great passion for unique series addressed to preschoolers, schoolkids as well as young adults. He carries out his projects in Germany and various international markets.

Maria brings years of experience working with audience insights across European film projects including kids, youth and family films. She has supported projects from early concept through to distribution. Moreover, facilitating workshops for emerging filmmakers and producers helping them understand and reach their audiences more effectively.

Oliver Fegan is a Co-Founder and CEO of usheru. Oliver’s background is in management and technology consultancy and his passion is helping make the film industry more sustainable. usheru are based in Ireland and have over 100 film partners in 30 countries whom they help increase cinema ticketing and streaming revenue for. usheru Select is a plug n play solution which adds showtime and streaming data to a partners website and usheru Connect is their full service website and analytics platform.

usheru help distributors as well as producers define strategies to reach audiences for their upcoming releases. Ollie can give practical tips during the consultations to help define your audience as well as helping strengthen the business case for financing your films.

Bio

After having worked in the production company Zentropa, alongside Lars Von Trier and Thoman Winterberg, David Matamoros founded MR MIYAGI FILMS together with Ángeles Hernández, seeking a balanced approach between the author's vision and the production needs to make it their cornerstone as showrunners/creators. The result is the wide range of films they have produced.

One of their most remarkable successes is Galder Gaztellu-Urrutia's Netflix “The platform”, awarded with several prizes at Toronto, Sitges and Goya Awards. But also “Evolution” by Lucile Hazdihalilovic (TIFF), “Brief story of the Green Planet” by Santiago Loza (Berlinale) or “The virgin of the Quarry Lake” by Sandra Casabé (Sundance 2025)

Besides he has created and written the animation feature “Hanna and the Monsters”, directed by Lorena Ares and the thriller “Restless waters, shivering lights” by Ángeles Hernández. Also, the animation feature The Day Ewan McGregor introduced me to his parents, in coproduction with Portugal.

In 2019, he co-directed with Ángeles Hernández, ‘Isaac’, selected in class A festivals such as IFFI Goa and as relevant as the Malaga Festival, FICG Guadalajara, D'A Film Fest, Atlàntida or Outshine Miami, being released in cinemas in Spain, USA, UK, Australia, Canada and Japan.

Who Wants to Marry an Astronaut? is his second film, a romantic comedy almost autobiographical shot between Barcelona, Buenos Aires and Las Vegas, premiered at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival and sold to over 44 countries.
