With more ways than ever to reach audiences, how do animated series find the right path? Representatives of three European studios will share real-world distribution experiences across cinema, television, and streaming, revealing different strategies, challenges, and routes to success.

This session is part of the Spotlight on Animation programme co-organised by Polish Animation and SPPA and co-financed by the Polish Film Institute.

In 1999, she founded the animation production company Achtoons and produced many videos in the advertising and TV programming fields. She produced and directed the animated TV show "Art with Mati and Dada", selected in 2015 within the TV series competition at the Annecy Film Festival. Andrew Kavanagh

Andrew Kavanagh is a multi-award-winning writer-director, producer, voice artist and show-creator. With business partner Gary Timpson, he runs one of Ireland’s longest established independent animation studios, Kavaleer Productions, which produces content for BBC, Gulli, Nickelodeon and dozens of other terrestrial / cable broadcasters and streamers. A seasoned show creator ("Kiva Can Do!", "Alva’s World", "Wildernuts", "Garth & Bev") most recently, Andrew has been spearheading Kavaleer Originals and developing a slate of new properties from preschool through adult animation, from digital-first through feature film. He will launch his fifth original preschool show, "Adam Loves Adventure!" in February 2026 and is working alongside Oscar-winning filmmaker John Boorman on the adaptation of his story "The Honey Wars" which was presented at Cartoon Movie in March 2025. Kavaleer are currently engaged on two high profile animated series "Vanishing Point" with BBC Studios /CBBC / Watch Next Media / France Televisions and "MaeBee" with Karrot Entertainment / CBeebies /RTEjr / Gulli.

Zofia Ścisłowska is a creative producer with over 15 years of experience in the film industry. From 2015 to 2022, she collaborated with Animoon as supervising and creative producer on animated shorts (including the Annie Award–nominated “Acid Rain”), series, and features such as the EFA-nominated “Even Mice Belong in Heaven”. At Laniakea Pictures, she develops animation and children’s IP, including “Cloudy & Stormy”, a 360° digital-first brand. She is an alumna of EAVE Marketing Workshops, Young Horizons Lab, and Let’s Be Series.
