8th Young Horizons Industry, international co-production forum took part between 30 September and 2 October 2024 in Kinoteka and ibis Styles Warszawa City Hotel, as an industry part of the 11th International Film Festival Young Horizons.

Thanks to institutions which co-financed the event: Polish Film Institute, Creative Europe MEDIA sub-programme, and City of Warsaw. The event was also co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage within a frame of the Polish Creative Industries Development Center programme “Rozwój Sektorów Kreatywnych”.

As every year, we are lucky to organised the Young Horizons Industry together with wonderful partners who provide numerous awards:

ORKA Awards
–> €7.000 for the in-kind award for a post-production and VFX services at ORKA
–> €3.500 for a supporting service of ORKA in fundraising for co-production of a project with Poland

FIXAFILM Award
–> €7.000 for the in-kind award for a post-production and VFX services at FIXAFILM

Wroclaw Feature Film Studio Award
–> €10.000 for the in-kind award

Animond Award
–> joining the Animond portfolio – opportunity to secure the gap financing through the Animond platform

No Problemo Music Award
–> a free music license for songs from the Audio Network’s library for their production and its promotional materials without restrictions on time, territory or fields of use

CEE Animation Forum Award
–> the project and team will have direct access to the Market at the CEE Animation Forum

m:brane Exchange Award
–> direct access to official selection during m:brane in Sweden

On the first day, Young Horizons Industry together with Polish Regional Film Funds invited our guests to the welcome drink which took place in a foyer in Kinoteka on 30 September.

Many thanks to Polish Animation Producers Association (SPPA) who co-organised a Producers Meet Producers networking activation for our attendees. For the first time we invited young experts to take part in Q&A after pitching. The participation of young experts from Estonia was possible thanks to the collaboration with Just Film Industry Days. Think Tank for TV: Facing Realities, a closed meeting for European broadcasters was co-organised with Children’s Media Foundation.
