The market presentation at Young Horizons Industry 2025 is all about the upcoming Croatian productions. At the exclusive sneak peek, four new projects from Croatia will be presented in front of distributors, sales agents, festival representatives, and broadcasters.

Market presentation – exclusive sneak peek of the upcoming Croatian productions section highlights films which are looking for broadcasters, sales agents, distributors, and festivals.
Each producer of the selected projects has a 30-minute for a short introduction and to show video materials.

Bumblebee’s Summer

Live-action film; 82’; Interfilm in co-production with Krug Film, Zillion Film, Palčica; Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia, BIH – Republic of Serbia
In this adventure and crime film, aimed at 7–12yo, we follow a group of kids who one day discover Chiku, a frightened boy from Africa. Soon it turns out that the boy is a victim of an illegal operation on the sea. To help Chiku, the kids will have to face a group of smugglers involved in human traffic. A summer that promised boredom transforms into an adventure that changes the children forever.
The Crystal Planet

3D animated film; 90’; Filmosaurus Rex, Alkay Animation Prague in co-production with BFilm; Croatia, The Czech Republic, Slovakia
“The Crystal Planet” has already made a buzz in the market circle as Sola Media made first sales in Cannes a few months ago. This 3D animated science fiction film tells a story of an 11-year-old girl who accidentally discovers a cute cub of an unknown animal which lives in underground caves of the newly settled Crystal Planet. Together with her new neighbour, an 11-year old boy, the girl has to face a greedy factory owner who wants to turn the cub into a robotic animal. Jeremy Irons, Vanessa Redgrave, and Michael York are among the actors who have joined the voice cast so far.
The Second Diary of Paulina P.

Live-action, animated film; 79’; Jaka produkcija in co-production with Invida, Living Pictures, Baboon Production; Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia
After a successful run in Croatian cinemas, Paulina P. is back! In the second part of the movie, our main character is now already 11 years old. Based on a big hit book in Croatia, the first film of the series was presented at Young Horizons Industry in 2022. In the sequel, Paulina will once again use her charm and imagination while also learning a valuable lesson – that life is not only about winning.
Spacehead

Live-action film; 85’; PomPom Film, Objectif in co-production with Senca Studio, Air Productions, This and That Productions; Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Latvia, Serbia
“Spacehead” is another film that was presented at our forum in the past and is coming back to Warsaw. The story starts when the parents of our main character, Alice (10), mysteriously disappear one day. She joins forces with a group of boy detectives and her autistic brother, whose unique perspective becomes the unexpected key to unravelling a criminal conspiracy and bringing their family back together.
Croatian Audiovisual Centre, partner of the Spotlight on Croatia
As a main audiovisual agency in Croatia, the Croatian Audiovisual Centre has assumed overall responsibility for the growth of Croatia’s audiovisual industry. The Croatian Audiovisual Centre supports development, production, distribution, exhibition, marketing, and promotion, as well as film festivals, professional training, education, national film archive, and international cooperation through the system of public subsidies.
The Centre also administers the Croatian rebate scheme for film and television production, aimed at encouraging inward investment.
Young Horizons Industry
Young Horizons Industry is a co-production forum and meeting hub for film professionals who are passionate about making films and series for young audiences. It takes place every autumn as part of the Young Horizons International Film Festival in Warsaw, Poland.
The goal of the forum is simple: helping creators connect with potential partners. By bringing together projects and industry players, we are creating a space where you can exchange ideas and form partnerships.
