“Pony, Pony”

“Pony Pony” is a TV series about having had enough of being rejected because of short legs and questionable gaits. The vengeful, cynical, and proactive ponies Cleo, Sally, and Zoro want leading roles in the stable, and they are not afraid to use every trick in the book (including the dirty ones) to secure a spot in the spotlight.

Creators statement

The project stands out through its strong originality, distinctive character design, and a universe that clearly sets it apart from the crowd. The defiant, quirky underdog ponies are funny, charming, and full of potential, with an energy and dynamic interplay that creates strong relationships and opens up rich opportunities for physicality and movement in the animation. The tone and humour resonate strongly with the target audience, especially through the combination of a raw, unpolished visual style and clear, relatable themes of courage, friendship, and the struggle to find one’s place in the hierarchy. Altogether, “Pony Pony” is a project with a clear and unique voice that both entertains and engages. The IP now consists of a comic book with three volumes in the making and the TV series is in development. Further down the line we will also be looking into a feature film and a game.

Pony Pony is supported by DR TV and The Danish Film Institute.
