Transmedia Storytelling has been a buzz term in the past with different ways of interpretation of the approaches and even platforms that are used. By looking at JOURNEY TO YOURLAND’s development process the round table will shed light on how the creators have worked with the story on diverse platforms and with diverse partnerships. Given this impulse and a first sneak preview into the new VR development of the project, we will further explore what it means to create a universe that is coherent and what new dimension to the story do we gain from VR.

The roundtable is open to all APD participants with accreditation.

Animation Production Days (APD) is a curated business platform for the German and international animation industry, which will take place from 26 – 28 April 2023.

In exclusive pre-planned one-to-one meetings producers present their fresh ideas for animated feature films, TV series, games or transmedia projects to broadcasters, streamers, investors, distributors and potential co-production partners.

Trends and challenges of the industry will be discussed at the APD Conference. In addition, APD offers various networking events with industry participants from the partner events ITFS and FMX.

APD is a joint venture of Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) and FMX – Film & Media Exchange. APD is organised by the Film- und Medienfestival gGmbH in co-operation with Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg GmbH.
