Join the co-production meeting with Central Europe and Young Horizons at EFM
For the second time, Young Horizons Industry, a Warsaw-based international co-production forum for films and series aimed at kids and youth, is co-organising a co-production meeting at EFM during Berlinale. This time we teamed up with the Czech Audiovisual Fund, Slovak Film Institute and Slovenian Film Centre.
Meeting will take place on Sunday, 15 February, from 17:00 to 18:00 at Martin Gropius Bau, at European Cinema Stand number 112. More about registration below.
The aim of the co-production meeting is to facilitate networking between European producers who are working on projects for young audiences or who are interested in the kids market.
For international producers this is a chance to meet potential co-production partners from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Slovenia. For producers from partner countries it’s a chance to meet peers from other European countries.
Register
The registration is open to European producers who will be at that time at EFM and who are interested in producing films and series for young audiences.
Around 30 producers will take part: 15 from partner countries and 15 from other European countries.
If you would like to join us, fill in the right form until 30 January, 2026. Places are limited – first come, first served.

Information from the form will be used later to prepare a mini catalogue which will be distributed among producers registered to this event.
Additional information: The co-production meeting will be held at the EFM. To enter the EFM area, you must have a valid market badge or festival accreditation or have purchased a day pass.

About the organisers
Czech Audiovisual Fund
The Czech Audiovisual Fund (CAF) is the main public financing body for the audiovisual industry in the Czech Republic. It supports all stages of AV production, plus promotion, distribution, and other AV-related areas. The CAF also administers production incentives for audiovisual content made in the Czech Republic.
The Czech Film Center promotes and markets Czech audiovisual content and the local film industry worldwide. It collaborates with major international festivals and co-production platforms and utilizes a global network of partners.
The Czech Film Commission promotes the country, and its infrastructure, as the world’s top destinations for audiovisual production.
Slovak Film Institute
The Slovak Film Institute is the national film archive and promotion centre responsible for preserving, researching, and presenting Slovakia’s film heritage as well as new and upcoming Slovak films. It supports film education, manages the national film archive, and presents Slovak cinema domestically as well as internationally through festivals, publications, and distribution activities.
Slovenian Film Centre
Slovenian Film Centre (SFC) was established in 2011 and is the legal successor of the Slovenian Film Fund (1995).
The SFC finance development (scripts, projects), production (all lengths, genres, styles), 1st time feature films, minority co-productions, student films, AV works for broadcasting, promotion and distribution of financed films, Film Festivals, Professional Associations, Film Education and Audience Development. Producers of cinematographic works have the right to use free services of state owned film studio Viba Film (free rental of technic – camera, light, grip, free use of sound stage studio, free postproduction – picture, sound), the services are treated as a state aid. SFC as the main institution also covers Film Commission activities and promotion of film locations and since 2017 the 25% cash rebate scheme for shooting in Slovenia.
Young Horizons Industry
Young Horizons Industry is a co-production forum and meeting hub for film professionals who are passionate about making films and series for young audiences. It takes place every autumn as part of the Young Horizons International Film Festival in Warsaw, Poland.
The goal of the forum is simple: helping creators connect with potential partners. By bringing together projects and industry players, we are creating a space where you can exchange ideas and form partnerships.
Around 20 projects at different stages of development take part in pitching sections. Another 10 qualify for the non-pitching section called Project Pool.
The 10th edition of the forum will take place from 28-30 September 2026 in Warsaw in Poland. The call for projects will open at the beginning of February.
