„Diplodocus” with global distribution deals only in first days of the Marché du Film

Gebeka Films has officially begun sales of Human’s original production – “Diplodocus” following a major success. The film, whose premiere is set for 2024, is being promoted at the Marché du Film, where it has already been sold to 40 countries across the globe, marking a significant achievement for Polish animation worldwide.

France-based animation sales company Gebeka Films has secured distribution deals in key territories, solidifying the global reach of the Polish production. “Diplodocus” is the largest project in the history of 3D animated family films in Poland. In the first days film has been sold to 40 countries, including: UK, Spain, Portugal, Benelux and Korea. “We are thrilled to be a part of “Diplodocus,” contributing to its success and showcasing the uniqueness of the film to audiences worldwide. – says Jason Bressand, International sales agent at Gebeka Films.

“Diplodocus” is an animated, full-length adventure comedy with a live-action twist for family audience. Movie tells a story of a little dinosaur Diplodocus who is dreaming of an adventure. One day, the parents and the world around him disappear in mysterious circumstances. The story takes a unique twist as Diplodocus finds himself living within the pages of a comic book created by the underrated artist, Ted. To save his loved ones, Diplo starts has to start an adventure of a lifetime, meeting new friends along the way. To succeed, they must overcome their own doubts and insecurities, while also inspiring Ted to believe in himself and his creations once again. “Diplodocus” invites audiences of all ages to embark on a magical journey filled with wonder, excitement, and the joy of embracing one’s true potential.

The film is written and directed by Wojtek Wawszczyk and co-produced by The Czech Republic’s PFX, Polish Public Television, and co-financed by PFI. Film is inspired by the iconic comics of Tadeusz Baranowski which has been sold close to 3 million copies in Poland alone and are constantly being reissued.
