Lica & Hercules

The year is 2005. Lica is a shy, cheerful, and unique girl, but her quirky way of dressing and acting makes her feel out of place among her friends. After a painful incident with some neighborhood kids, she escapes into her safe space: hours spent looking at old family photos. While rummaging through a hidden chest, Lica discovers her late grandfather Hércules’ diary and learns that he was a daring adventurer. Suddenly, Lica’s room begins to shake, and Hércules appears before her, suitcase in hand and wearing his iconic hat. Believing she’s dreaming, Lica is soon whisked away by her grandfather into the past: Rio de Janeiro in 1951. Together, they embark on a thrilling adventure to find a rare culinary treasure. From facing thieves on a Santa Teresa tram to a quick stop in Minas Gerais, Lica and her grandfather grow closer and learn valuable lessons of love and ancestral heritage along the way.
