Hello, Neobiota!

Su, an 8-year-old newcomer to the city, discovers she’s not alone in making this place her new home. Apples, potatoes, tulips, raccoons… the neobiota! With a journalist’s curiosity, she uncovers the rich historical and cultural tapestry around her by connecting with these non-human, familiar yet foreign neighbours. In this diverse community, differences become bridges rather than barriers. Alongside her best friends Coco the Crow and Max, the boy from upstairs, Su embarks on unexpected adventures – in which they’re able to magically step into the roles of other characters. Through empathy, they get to experience and reimagine history from fresh perspectives. Daily, Su faithfully reports her discoveries to her grandmother, sharing the wonder of her expanding world.
